Punjab forms advisory committee to review H1N1 situation

Chandigarh, Feb 8 (UNI) Punjab government today constituted a state level Advisory Committee under chairmanship of Dr D Behera (PGIMER), to review the situation of H1N1 in the state and give recommendations on its prevention and control.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Surjeet Kumar Jayani said it has also been noticed that cases found to be H1N1 positive were being treated by private doctors for sometime and were referred to higher centres only when the condition deteriorated.
Following growing panic among people regarding swine flu, the Health Minister has also issued fresh guidelines to all the civil surgeons to take precautionary measures to check spread of swine flu.
