Punjab: Drug peddler nabbed with 3 kg opium, Rs 8.8 lakh

Moga, Nov 29 (UNI) CIA Staff on Friday nabbed a notorious drug peddler and seized three kg contraband opium and Rs 8.8 lakh drug money from him.
According to Moga SP (D), a CIA staff team laid a special naka at Ajitwal on Moga-Ludhiana road in early hours today. A car coming from Ludhiana was signaled to stop and on search of the car occupant, police recovered three kg opium, worth Rs 16 lakh, and Rs 8,80,000 drug money from him.
The nabbed car occupant has been identified as notorious drug peddler Varinder Kumar of Moga.
