Punjab Cong MP lays foundation stones of Rs 74.4 lakh dev projects

Phillaur, Jan 23 (UNI) Member of Parliament Santokh Singh Chaudhary and Phillaur assembly constituency incharge Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary on Saturday laid foundation stones of development projects worth Rs 74.4 lakhs in villages Bundala and Nangal under Smart Village Campaign scheme of Punjab Government.
Out of this amount, Rs 32.02 lakhs would be spent on construction of bus stand, sitting benches, beautification of panchayat office, submersible bore, streets and sewage system in Bundala, while the rest Rs 42.38 lakhs are allocated for streetlights, drainage system, cleaning of pond and installation of RO system in Nangal.
Speaking on this occasion, MP Chaudhary said long pending demands of people of Bundala and Nangal have been accepted by Captain Amarinder Singh government and accordingly, ample funds have been released for the development of these villages. “Upgradation of urban and rural infrastructure is among the topmost priorities of Congress government,” he stated.
