Punjab CM lauds people, police for ensuring law & order during SAD rally

Chandigarh, Sept 16 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday expressed his appreciation for the people and the police of the state for ensuring maintenance of law and order during the SAD rally in Faridkot.

In a statement issued here, the Chief Minister lauded the people of the state for not succumbing to the desperate efforts of the Badals to trigger tensions during the rally, which was aimed at diverting attention from their own misdeeds, particularly the role of Parkash Singh Badal in the sacrilege cases, as exposed by the Justice (Retd) Ranjit Singh Commission.
