Punjab CM greets people on Dussehra and Durga Puja

Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday greeted the people of the country especially the Punjabis living across the globe on the sacred occasion of Dussehra (Vijaya dashami) and Durga Puja.
In a message, he said that these two festivals, which symbolize the victory of good over evil, remind us of our rich cultural heritage.
Mann said that our nation has an age old tradition of celebrating both these festivals which play a vanguard role in promoting goodwill, peace and communal harmony in the society besides showing us the way of ideal living to carve out an egalitarian and harmonious society.

Srinagar, July 16 (UNI) Amid the spiritual chants, the winding queues of pilgrims, and the crisp mountain air at Baltal in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir , an unusual but heartening sight is catching the attention of yatris: women CRPF personnel clad in bright orange vests, each inscribed with the gentle yet commanding phrase —“May I Help You.”
It’s a new initiative rolled out by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) North Srinagar, Sudhir Kumar aimed at blending security with empathy.
