Punjab cabinet approves filling of 185 vacant posts in ESI hospitals & dispensaries

Chandigarh, Dec 3 (UNI) The Punjab cabinet on Monday took a slew of decisions related to various cadres and servicemen in different departments, including approval for filling up of 185 vacant posts of doctors and paramedic staff in ESI hospitals and dispensaries.
The filling up the posts will help ensure the best healthcare services to nearly 12.92 lakh insured persons covered under the Employees State Insurance (ESI) scheme across the state, according to a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office.
The Health department would soon initiate the process of recruiting 55 doctors and 130 paramedics on contract basis, pending regular appointment. The decision would enable the Health Department to ensure cent percent availability of doctors and paramedics in ESI hospitals and dispensaries.

Uttarakhand records 24 83 pc voter turnout till 11 am

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
