Punjab beat Vidarbha on first innings lead to win Dhruv Pandove Trophy

Chandigarh, Sep 12 (UNI) Punjab annexed the 6th All India U-19 Invitational Cricket Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy by virtue of their129-run first innings lead against Vidarbha in the four-day final played at Dhruv Pandove Stadium in Patiala today.
Punjab had scored 368 in the first innings and Vidarbha had made 239 before being bowled out. In the second essay Punjab declared their innings closed at 340 for 3 being helped in their cause by a 302 runs third wicket partnership between Shubman Gill unbeaten (138) off 179 balls with 17 boundaries and skipper Anmolpreet Singh (174) off 191 balls with 17 boundaries and 5 huge sixes. Yash Thakur, Parth Rekde and Amrit Yadav scalped one wicket each. shubman Gill had earlier scored a century in the first innings.
Vidarbha in their second innings were 146 for 8 in 60 overs when the stumps were drawn.
