Punjab: ACS Labour conducts surprise checking of offices

Chandigarh, Sep 21 (UNI) On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Additional Chief Secretary (Labour) Vijay Kumar Janjua on Tuesday conducted a surprise checking of Office of Labour Commissioner-cum-Director of Factories, Punjab and the boards working under the Department of Labour.
Giving details, an official spokesperson said that during the checking few employees of concerned offices/boards were found absent/late.
Taking a serious note of this, the ACS issued verbal directions to officials to ensure punctuality in office and seek explanation from all absentee employees. Directions were also given to concerned officials to be present in the office on time in future.
