Pune Police to book habitual offenders under MPDA Act

Pune, Nov 19 (UNI) Acting on recent incidence created by anti-social elements at Hadapsar areas of the city, the City Police has drawn up strong plan against such people and will book them under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act.
Talking to UNI on Monday, Senior Police Inspector of Hadapsar Police Station Sunil Tambe said the few anti-social elements of society were allegedly celebrating birthday party with cutting cake with sword, with intention to create terror in nearby areas which would not be tolerated further more.
Mr Tambe said police had enhanced patrolling at Hadapsar, Kondhwa, Wanori and nearby areas after the news of such birthday celebration were reported. He said he held the meeting with numbers of housing society, hotelier and restaurant and appealed them to come forward and inform the police if some such anti elements of society were forcibly demanding the money from them.
