Pune housing fraud: Maple's group CMD booked under RERA, other charges

Pune, Jul 6 (UNI) The Pune Rural Police have booked the Chairman and Managing Director of Maple Group under the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), forgery and Criminal Breach of Trust.


Talking to UNI here on Monday, the senior police Inspector of Urlikanchan police station Mr Suraj Bandgar said, "We have booked two persons, including Managing Director of Maple Mr Sachin Agarwal, under RERA and other criminals charges and both will be arrested soon.
The Maple Group, construction company, had been allegedly misleading the numbers of people into purchasing flats promising cheaper rates by wrongfully using the logo of 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, without PMO office's permission few years ago. However, they were failed to fulfill their promises.
