Pulwama attack: Nation bids teary-eyed adieu to bravehearts

New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) As the bodies of CRPF personnel, who lost their lives in the deadly terror act in Jammu and Kashmir reached the native places of the brave soldiers, wrapped in Tricolour, people of the country came out of their homes on Saturday, to pay their last respects, folding their hands in reverence, while tears flowed on.
While full state honours were accorded to the bravehearts during their cremation, governments, including that of Puducherry, Sikkim and Andhra Pradesh, extended full support to the kith and kins of the CRPF personnel, while others decided to help by offering free education to their kids and giving ex-gratia to the aggrieved families.
Uttar Pradesh lost the highest 12 personnel, while Rajasthan lost five and Punjab suffered four casualties in the attack, followed by two each from Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Maharashtra.
