PUCA delegation demands for early release of pending Rs 1700 cr of PMS

Mohali, Dec 5 (UNI) A delegation of Punjab unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) met Union Minister for Social Welfare Vijay Sampla and appealed for the early release of pending Rs 1700 crore of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS).
While interacting with the delegation, led by PUCA President Anshu Kataria, the Union Minister said that central government is waiting for the compiled audit reports from the state government and as soon as the state will send the clearance reports the next installment from central government would be released.
Meanwhile, Mr Kataria urged both state and central governments to resolve the matter at earliest so that unaided colleges could be bailed out from the financial crisis.
