PSI, constable among 3 arrested in bribery case in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Sep 19 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday arrested three people, including a police sub-inspector and constable, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a complainant here.
PSI Abhijeet Shivaji Gurav and constable Rohit Rajendra Powar, both attached to Rajarampuri police station of the city, had demanded Rs 60,000 as bribe for not booking the complainant as co-accused in a matka-gambling case.
The duo had already taken Rs 20,000 as advance from the complainant and had told to give the remaining amount of Rs 40,000 to their middle-man Rohit Ramchandra Sorap, a private person, a press release issued by ACB said here.
