PSB hockey academy lifts 'Baba Faridkot Gold Cup' trophy

Faridkot, Sep 23 (UNI) The Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) hockey academy lifted the 28th All India Baba Farid Gold Cup hockey tournament, defeating Rail Coach Factory by 3-2 goals at Government Barjindra college hockey stadium, here on the last day of Baba Farid Aagman Purb Mela on Monday.
At half time, Punjab and Sind Bank academy was leading by 2-0 goals. Ramandeep Singh right full back opened the account with penalty corner in the 22th minute and the second goal was scored by Harmanjit Singh inside lift in 28th minute.
The third winning goal was scored by Manjinder Singh center in the 37th minute of the second half.
Rail Coach Factory scored two goals in the second half in 45th and 49th minutes by Anil Kumar right full back through penalty corner and Sandeep Singh outside right scored a feild goal.
Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Adviser to Chief Minister, gave away the prizes and also announced Rs two lakh out of his discretionary funds for the promotion of Baba Farid Hockey Sports Club organising the Gold Cup hockey every year.
