Provide best medical facilities to tribal people in Padere area: Minister

Eluru, Jun 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Deputy Chief Minister cum Health Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas said directed the health officials to take steps to provide super speciality medical services to the people living in the agency area in Paderu division in Visakhapatnam district.
The minister held a review meeting at the ITDA office in Visakhapatnam district on Wednesday for which Ministers Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Dharmana Krishna Das, MP Madhavi, MLA Bhagyalakshmi, Medical, Health department commissioner Katamneni Bhaskar and officials were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the health minister said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had decided to provide the best medical facilities to the habitants of agency areas in Paderu division. The minister directed the health officials to lay special focus on providing better medical facilities to the people living in Paderu agency area.
The minister said that the government had taken steps to establish a government medical college in the Paderu division in order to augment the medical facilities.
The minister had given clear instructions to the health officials to take all preventive measures to ensure that the tribal people would not infect Malaria and typhoid.
He asked the officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan to check the spread of seasonal epidemics in the agency areas. He asked the officials to provide medicines to those who suffer from lung related diseases due to chilly weather conditions in advance.
Mr Kali Krishna Sriivas asked the officials to take steps to provide nutritious food in order to curb the infant mortality in the agency areas.
He also directed the officials to make arrangements in the agency areas to shift road accident victims to hospital at the earliest.
“The services of government medical colleges at Paderu and Anakapalli will begin soon. It has been decided to provide super speciality medical facilities in 11 mandal in tribal areas," the Health Minister said.
