Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 12 (UNI) Protests erupted across Kerala on Saturday as Opposition parties intensified their agitations demanding the resignation of Higher Education Minister KT Jaleel, leading to police lathicharge in which several people were injured.
Opposition Congress, BJP and other Youth organizations, including Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Yuva Morcha,Youth League and Mahila Morcha have staged protest marches in several district headquarters and to the Government Secretariat here leading to the lathicharge by the police to disperse them.
Police also used water cannons to disperse Yuva Morcha and Youth Congress workers at Government Secretariat when they tried to remove the police barricades.
