Protests break out at NIT Srinagar over social media post

Srinagar, Nov 28 (UNI) Protests broke out at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Tuesday over a social media post by a non local student allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

The students shouting slogans demanded stern action against the student who uploaded the video on social media.

Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Feb 23 (UNI) The farmers, under the banner of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) led by SKM member Harbans Sangha on Friday burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in front of BJP office in protest against the recent police action on farmers on the Haryana-Punjab border.
