Chandigarh, Nov 3 (UNI) Haryana Governor, Satyadeo Narain Arya on Saturday said that promoting traditional sports along with modern has put Haryana on top of the world map.
The Governor was speaking at the 44th annual function of Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai in Sonipat on Saturday while honouring the winning students of various competitions.
"India won total 69 medals with 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze at the recently Asian Games in Jakarta their best-ever medal haul at Asiad placing them in top 8 among the countries from which 25 per cent medal contributors were from Haryana," the governor said.
