Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Monday urged Prof Amitabh Mattoo, former advisor to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, to continue working for promoting educational interests at all level in the state, an official spokesman said here.
He said Prof Mattoo met Governor Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Prof Mattoo shared his perspectives with the Governor about the initiatives required to ensure holistic development of the state and some of the steps required for advancing the interests of higher education.
The Governor urged Prof Mattoo to continue with his sustained endeavours towards public welfare and promoting educational interests at all levels.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University was appointed as advisor to Mehbooba in April 2016. However, he resigned in November same year.
