Priyanka targets Yogi over Mainpuri incident

Lucknow, Dec 4 (UNI) Targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the alleged rape and murder case of a student in Mainpuri, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday said that the law and order situation was in shambles in the state.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, she posted, "The reason why UP is at the top in cases pertaining to crimes against women can be understood by the fact that the body of the girl was found on September 16 and while the family of the victim kept making appeals that truth should come to the fore, nothing happened."
She further said, "The student had been raped but the UP administration kept on procrastinating the case for so long. This is the fourth such incident which is in front of us. Shameful."

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
