Priyanka lashes out at Govt, says your job is to improve economy, not to run a comedy circus

New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday lashed out at Union Railway and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal for his remarks on Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee, saying the 'government's job is to improve the collapsing economy and not to run a comedy circus'.
While sharing news report that the passenger vehicle sales fell 20 per cent in September, Ms Vadra said that BJP leaders are indulging in denying other's achievements and not doing their own works.
"Instead of doing their own work, the BJP leaders are indulging in denying other's achievements. Nobel laureate did his work honestly, and he won. The economy is collapsing. Your job is to improve the economy and not to run a comedy circus", the Congress leader tweeted in Hindi.
Ms Vadra's criticism comes a day after Mr Goyal had said that the Nobel laureate is a 'Left-leaning' person and he doesn't want to 'accept what he thinks'.
The Union Minister had also criticised Mr Banerjee that the latter has supported 'NYAY', a minimum income scheme proposed by the Congress, and said, 'this was rejected by the Indian voters'.
