Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reach Lalitpur  to meet families of farmers died  due to fertilizer shortage

Lalitpur, Oct 29 (UNI) Congress general secretary and in charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reached Lalitpur by train on Friday morning to meet the families of the farmers who died due to fertilizer shortage.

Ms Vadra, for a change took a train from Lucknow to reach Lalitpur on Friday morning.

The Congress leaders boarded Sabarmati Express along with couple of party leaders. They had reservation in AC- 2 tier coach.

Before boarding the train at Charbagh station, Ms Vadra also met the coolies at the platform and heard their problems and demands. She assured them of responding to their demands.

Party sources here said that Ms Vadra reached Lalitpur in the morning and after resting for a while she will go to the villages to meet the families of the farmers, who died due to fertilizer shortage.

The Congress alleged that there is a severe shortage of fertilizers in the entire Bundelkhand including Lalitpur.

Many farmers died due to shortage of fertilizers including one farmer who committed suicide and another farmer died while standing in queue for fertilizer in Lalitpur.
