Priyanka Gandhi extends Mauni Amawasya greetings, prays for nation's welfare

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday extended warm greetings to people across the country on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, highlighting the festival’s spiritual significance and praying for the well-being of all citizens.
In a message shared on handle X, Gandhi described Mauni Amavasya as a sacred festival dedicated to “austerity, sacrifice, meditation, and charity.” She also invoked the blessings of the River Ganga, revered as Mokshadayini in Hindu tradition, for the collective welfare of the nation.
“Heartfelt greetings to all of you on the sacred festival of Mauni Amavasya, dedicated to austerity, sacrifice, meditation, and charity,” Gandhi said. “May Mokshadayini Mother Ganga bring welfare to all citizens of the country.”
