New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) Congress general secretary in-charge Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's husband Robert Vadra on Saturday took to twitter to express his respect for his wife and said "do what is right for the nation", after she was detained in UP for more than 24 hours.
"I have always respected your qualities of compassion,empathy and sincerity. Today,Priyanka, I respect u more for standing up against atrocities on villagers. U were there to console them,when govt refused to listen to wails of the families. Priyanka,do what is right for the nation", Mr Vadra tweeted.
Ms Priyanka, who was detained in Varanasi's Narayanpur, neighbouring the Mirzapur border, after she was stopped on her way to Sonbhadra to meet the people affected in the recent violence, which claimed 10 lives and injured several others, was released around noon today.
