Priyanka discusses future strategy for UP, fuels speculation of her bigger role in assy polls

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) Amid speculation that Ms Priyanka Gandhi Vadra could extensively campaign for the Congress in the coming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh slated for early next year, the party leader and daughter of party president Sonia Gandhi today attended a meeting of the senior party leaders here and discussed the strategy for campaign.
The party, however, continued to parry all questions on the issue, saying that a decision on whether to campaign beyond Amethi and Rae Bareli would be taken by Ms Vadra herself.
Addressing reporters here, AICC spokesperson R P N Singh, when queried on the issue, said, ''Priyanka has always confined herself to campaigning in Amethi and Rae Bareli. It is for her to decide whether to campaign in the rest of the state. A decision on the issue should be left to her .We should wait for her decision.''
