New Delhi, Sep 14 (UNI) Attacking those who vandalised the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Jalaun district in Uttar Pradesh, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday said, "You cannot shake even a fraction of the greatness of these great men by attacking their statues".
A statue of the Father of the Nation was vandalised by unidentified miscreants at Jalaun's Gandhi Inter College on Friday.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Ms Vadra said, "A few days ago, the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar was broken by anti-social elements in Uttar Pradesh. Now, the statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been vandalised in Jalaun.
"Cowards, who break the statues of great people in the darkness of the night, this is your achievement in life", she tweeted in Hindi.
"You try to insult them? You cannot shake even a fraction of the greatness of these great men by attacking their statues", she added.
According to reports, local people protested at the college compound over the vandalisation of statue, which was installed in 1970.
