Priyanka Chopra confirms role in SS Rajamouli’s next epic, ‘Globetrotter’

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has officially confirmed that she will be part of SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated upcoming film, tentatively titled Globetrotter, which also stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
Taking to her Instagram story, Priyanka shared a screenshot of a Deadline article announcing her casting in the project. While her exact role remains undisclosed, the news has sparked major excitement among fans. Reports suggest that discussions are currently underway regarding the film’s US distribution.
Priyanka’s announcement comes shortly after the makers unveiled the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran, who plays the menacing antagonist Kumbha. In the striking poster, the Sarzameen actor is seen in a sleek black suit, sitting in a wheelchair equipped with four robotic arms, exuding an intimidating aura.
Sharing the poster, Rajamouli wrote on Instagram, “After filming the first shot with Prithvi, I told him, ‘You are one of the finest actors I’ve ever known.’ Bringing life to this ruthless and powerful character, KUMBHA, was an incredibly satisfying experience.”
The poster was also re-shared by Priyanka and Mahesh Babu on their social media handles. Priyanka, who recently arrived in India, reportedly for Globetrotter’s production, engaged in a lighthearted online exchange with Mahesh, further fueling speculation about her role in the film.
The makers are expected to reveal the first look of Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra soon. Earlier this year, they teased fans with an intense poster and the hashtag Globetrotter, without confirming if it’s the official title.
Mahesh Babu also expressed his excitement on Instagram, writing, “Thank you for all the love. I’m eagerly waiting, just like all of you, for November 2025 to enjoy the reveal together. GlobeTrotter.”
While details about the film’s plot remain tightly guarded, anticipation continues to grow for what promises to be one of Rajamouli’s most ambitious projects yet.
