New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Former Union Minister M J Akbar on Monday submitted before a court that Journalist Priya Ramani harmed his reputation by accused him of sexual misconduct.
Ramani had made allegation of sexual misconduct against Akbar in the wake of "#MeToo" movement in 2018 by accusing sexual misconduct when she was a journalist more than 20 years ago.
Akbar submitted before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ravindra Kumar in a criminal complaint filed against him by Ramani for allegedly defaming him by accusing of sexual misconduct when she was a journalist more than 20 years ago. He said that she was not alone but many women journalists have accused him of sexual miscount but he filed a defamation complaint only against her.
