Private Buses start plying in Pondy

Puducherry, Oct 22 (UNI) After a gap of nearly seven months, private buses started plying here from Thursday.
It may be noted that the private bus operators had taken a decision to operate their buses from today following a discussion with Transport Minister M O H F Shajahan in which the government agreed to waive the road tax for the period the buses had not plied due to lockdown in view of COVID.
All the buses could not be operated as some got repaired with battery down and tyres damaged as the vehicles were parked for seven months at a stretch.
