Prisoner escapes from police lock-up of Court in Begusarai

Begusarai, Dec 05 (UNI) A prisoner today escaped from lock-up of civil court in Begusarai dodging the policemen on duty there.
Police said here that a prisoner Manish Kumar lodged in Begusarai jail, was brought for his production before the court in connection with a murder case. Manish was kept in police lock-up for production before the court after he was brought from jail but managed to escape, giving false plea that he was going to respond the call of nature.
Manish was native of Manjhaul police station area in the district and he was lodged for the murder of his aunt. Raids were being carried out to nab the escaped prisoner, police added.

All 15 candidates for two LS seats clear scrutiny

Itanagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Altogether, 168 nominations filed for the upcoming Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were found to be valid after scrutiny of papers on Thursday, while the process of scrutinising nominations against Itanagar and Daporijo constituencies has been adjourned till Friday, the results of which would be out by 11 a.m., an election official said.
