Prevent communal evils to strengthen the foundations of state-building: Mahmud

Dhaka, Sep 25 (UNI) Minister of Information and Broadcasting Bangladesh and Joint General Secretary of Awami League. Hasan Mahmud said that the communal evil should be stopped to strengthen the foundation of the non-communal spirit of the Bangladesh state.
He made this call in his speech as the chief guest at the Shubo Mahalaya function at the beginning of Autumn Durga Puja at the capital's Banani Pujamandap on Sunday (September 25).
The event organized by Gulshan-Banani Sarvajanin Puja Foundation was inaugurated by the guests and organizers by lighting Mangalpradip at 6:02 in the morning. The president of the foundation Panna Lal Dutta, general secretary Pranakrishna Ghosh, Shilpi Lal Dutta and others spoke at the event moderated by artist Manash Sengupta.
