Press Club and Contractors' Asso played friendly cricket, Minister Manoj participated

Ambassa (Tripura), Jan 30 (UNI) In a different initiative to enjoy the season of chilly winter, media fraternity under the banner of Kamalpur Press Club played a friendly cricket match with Contractors' Association at Kamalpur College ground here in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai on Saturday.
Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, an aced wicketkeeper of his cricket career along with BJP Kamalpur Mandal President Advocate Shyamal Kanti Paul and Durgachowmuhani Panchayat Samiti member Advocate Aminul Haque, Yuba Morcha Dhalai District President Subrata Majumdar participated and played from the Press Club team. In the 20 over match, Contractors' Association won the toss and batted first. They put up a total of 148 runs. Chasing it the Press Club team could sum up 96 runs in total. After the match trophies were distributed among both the teams. Local renowned personality Shashanka Sekhar Deb, brother of the Minister Manoj, donated the trophies for winners and opponent respectively in the names of his father deceased Madhusudan Deb and mother deceased Chameli Biswas.
