President exhorts Legislators to adopt social pledges to fulfill aspirations of people by their conduct and style of functioning

Patna, Oct 21 ( UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind today exhorted the Legislators and public representatives to imbibe the social pledges adopted on the occasion of centenary celebrations of Bihar Assembly for inculcating five social values and to free the state from five social curses for transforming Bihar into a respectable state and live up to the aspirations of the common people by their good conduct and style of functioning.
Addressing the centenary celebrations of Bihar Assembly as chief guest, Mr Kovind said here today that people have lots of aspirations and hope from the Legislators who were responsible to fulfill the expectations of the common people.
Mr Kovind said that the Legislators share the responsibility of translating the expectations of the common people into reality by their good conduct and style of operations. The conduct of the legislatures also inculcate confidence among the common people.
The President appealed to the Legislature to follow and imbibe the social pledges adopted to free the society from five social evils and inculcate five social values adopted on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Bihar Assembly,
He also exhorted the legislatures to adhere to the social pledges to establish Bihar as a prosperous state and revive its glorious Golden era.
The president said that the centenary celebration of Bihar assembly would be meaningful and relevant only when Bihar would become a leading state on human development planks by 2047 when the country would be observing the centenary celebrations of independence.
