Tokyo, Jul 24 (UNI) Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth was ousted in the first round of the men's singles in the Japan Open after being beaten by fellow countryman H S Prannoy while in the women's singles star shuttler P V Sindhu started her opening match with a win against China's Yue Han to enter the pre-quarterfinals here on Wednesday.
Prannoy defeated Srikanth 13-21, 21-11, 22-20 wrapping the match in 59 minutes.
Meanwhile, Olympic silver medallist Sindhu eased past Yue Han 21-9, 21-17 to enter the pre-quarterfinals. The Indian shuttler will next take on Japan's Aya Ohori.
