PPL 2026: Defending champs Villianur on a roll

Puducherry, July12 (UNI) Fifties by Mukul Ragav and Prithvi Khanna set up reigning champions Villianur Mohit Kings’ 92-run win over Genid Yanam Royals on Sunday for their fourth consecutive victory in the third Shriram Capital-Pondicherry Premier League.
Opener Ragav (81, 41b, 7x4, 5x6) and left-handed Khanna (94 n.o., 44b, 9x4, 5x6) shared in a fourth-wicket stand of 85 to power Villianur to a commanding 230/4 on being asked to bat first.
Yanam were bowled out for 138 in reply, choked by the spinners, with Alim Shaikhlal Shaikh taking four wickets.
