Powerful weapons known to mankind introduced by Gandhi to world: Author

Hyderabad, Aug 18 (UNI) Eminent Indian Author Birad Rajaram Yajnik today underlined that Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had introduced to the world the most powerful weapons known to Mankind, namely satyagrah, peace, trust and non-violence.
Addressing a talk on Mahatma Gandhi, organised as part of 'Independence week' by the city-based Mahindra Ecole Centrale (MEC) College of Engineering, an Indo-French Technology institution here, Mr Yajnik said that Mahatma caused a positive change in the 21st century.
“The Mahatma talk was held as part of the “Yaad Karo Kurbani Initative” of the MHRD, which invited all educational institutions to host events related to the Independence of India
He talked at length about the life and message of the Mahatma, covering the major milestones that influenced his philosophy, political awakening and his concept of Ahimsa.
He portrayed the man behind the Mahatma to provide inspiration to today’s generation.
The students and faculty were enthralled by his talk and presentation and went back with a much better understanding of the Mahatma’s principles and core philosophy.
Yajnik has spoken globally on the Mahatma at various hallowed institutions like the Nehru Centre in London, the Tolstoy Farm in Johannesburg, The United Nations and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. In 2010 a special edition of the MKG book was released at the United Nations by the President to mark the International day of non-violence.
He is a member of the technical committee of the Gandhi Heritage portal, currently curating the first digital interactive museum on Mahatma Gandhi and has an active blog with over 50000 followers on the Mahatma.
He has been curating global and digital exhibitions on MKG and is also a TedX speaker.
Mr Yajnik has to his credit more than 100,000 fine print copies on 9 titles. One of his most celebrated limited edition series was MKG – Imaging Peace, Truth and Ahimsa on Mahatma Karamchand Gandhi that has made him a sought after specialist on Mahatma Gandhi globally’’, says Prof. Ravi Bollina, Mahindra Ecole Centrale.
