Power Corp's then Chairman should be arrested immediately: Shailendra Dubey

Lucknow, Dec 7 (UNI) Stating that the action taken by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) was unsatisfactory in the Employees' Provident Fund scam, the Power Employees Joint Struggle Committee on Saturday demanded the arrest of the then Chairman of the Power Corporation.
Committee Convenor Shailendra Dubey said the EOW has arrested seven people, including then Regional Sales Manager of Diwan Housing Finance Limited (DHFL) Amit Prakash on Friday, but he believes that Rs 4132 crore invested in a private company in the name of PF, between March 2017 and December 2018, were not possible without the knowledge or permission of the then Chairman.
Mr Dubey said that to get to the root of the scam, it was necessary that the then Chairman be arrested immediately.
