Portion of building collapses in Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 20 (UNI) A portion of a four-storied building collapsed at the Lokmanya Tilak road area of the Borivali suburb here on Friday.

No casualties were reported as building was vacant, Fire Brigade Department sources said.

According to reports, the incident took place at 1045 hrs in morning amid heavy rainfall in the area.

Around four-five fire tenders, an ambulance and a rescue team rushed to the spot post the infrastructural mishap, said reports.

Meanwhile, authorities are trying to ascertain the reason behind the collapse.
