Poppy cultivation destroyed in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 28 (UNI) A combined force destroyed illicit poppy cultivation spanning over 10 acres in Manipur's Kamjong district on Tuesday, an Assam Rifles official said.

As part of the “War on Drugs” campaign, the joint operation was executed in Kamjong district by Assam Rifles, Police and Forest department. Over 10 acres of poppy cultivation sites at Itham Tangkhul village cluster were destroyed by the authorities.
