Poonch DC seeks report on ‘Catch the rain, When it falls, Where it falls’ campaign

Jammu, Jun 30 (UNI) District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet on Wednesday reviewed the implementation of ‘Catch the rain, When it falls, Where it falls’ campaign under Jal Shakti Abhiyan in a meeting.
National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti has launched a campaign “Catch the Rain” with the tagline “Catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls” in 2020 to nudge the states and all stakeholders to create Rain Water Harvesting Structures (RWHS) suitable to the climatic conditions and sub-soil strata, with people’s active participation.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to submit the progress achieved till ending June within 2 days and identify the water conservation activities which can be carried out in the district.
