Pondy Law College to hosts Moot Court

Puducherry, Oct 6 (UNI) In a bid to enhance the quality of argument among law students here, the Dr Ambedkar Government law college here hosted the ‘National Women Moot Court Competitions’.
Puducherry Education minister R Kamalakannan inaugurated the Moot Court in the presence of Revenue minister M O H F Shajahan this evening.
It may be noted that moot court was started first in the country in Puducherry law college and so far 40 moot courts were conducted of which 37 were in English and three in Tamil.
Students from 42 Law Colleges would take part in the moot court this year. Madras High Court judges Saminathan and Govindaraj will select the best students at the moot court and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy will participate on the concluding day, i.e, October 8 and distribute prizes.
