Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 15 2016 4:19PM Pondy launches camera auditingPuducherry,June 15(UNI): Puducherry today launched Camera Auditing to monitor large volume of CCTV camera-footage, generated every day, outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP)Praveer Ranjan said today. Talking to newspersons here, Mr Ranjan said, Auditing will help in monitoring a 24-hour-long footage in less than half an hour. The new high-end software is installed at Police control facility. The Union Territory is among the few states in the country to use this technology. Anyone monitoring video will get 'video blind' in 15 minutes and may skip major clues due to over sight, Mr. Ranjan said. The Auditing software also helps in flashing the relevant information instantly with police departments of neighbouring states.
