Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 21 2016 2:14PM Pondy Govt allots Rs 82 lakhs for preparation of Ramadan porridge in mosquesPuducherry, June 21(UNI)The Puducherry administration has allotted Rs.82.3 lakhs for the mosques in the Union territory for the preparation of Ramadan porridge (Nombu Kanji), Minister for Wakf Board M O H F Shajahan said here today. Mr Shajahan, who had earlier announced the provision of free rice for the preparation of Ramadan Porridge told newspersons that it was decided to provide funds to each of the 77 mosques here. Accordingly, a sum of Rs.3,560 each would be provided to the 39 mosques in Puducherry, 26 in Karaikal region,11 in Mahe and one in Yanam region a day, which would come to around Rs.1,06800.
