Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jul 18 2016 5:59PM Pondy auto drivers go on strike after introduction of mini bus at Railway stationPuducherry, Jul 18 (UNI) Auto-rickshaw drivers at the railway station resorted to an agitation here today, following the government move to introduce mini-bus service from the station this morning. Subsequent to the visit of the Lt Governor to the Railway Station yesterday and on her direction, the Puducherry Road Transport Corporation introduced mini buses to the bus stand and Kalapet. Two mini buses were parked in front of the railway station at the arrival time of an express train here and the bus staff invited passengers. Constituency legislator Anbazhagan (AIADMK) reached the spot and held talks with them. He informed the agitators that no one could prevent the introduction of the buses, since it was a government service. The drivers then said their livelihood is being affected.
