Polytechnic students picket Office of district collector

Puducherry, Jan 25 (UNI) Students of the Motilal Nehru Women's polytechnic at Lawspet here, affiliated to the Students Federation of India (SFI) and All India Students Federation (AISF) on Friday abstained from their clasess and picketed the office of the District Collector to press their demands.

They were protesting against the failure to conduct their internal examination and demanding to hold it forthwith. It may be noted that as the strike by the teachers of the society run colleges continued, the internal examination could not be conducted.

The Collector held talks with them and assured to take up the matter with the government and ensured that the teachers attend work from Monday.
Following this, the students dispersed.
