Aurangabad, Dec 1 (UNI) Voting began peacefully at 0800 hrs on Tuesday in eight districts by following Covid norms at 813 centre for Aurangabad Division Graduate constituency in Maharashtra's Marathwada region amid tight security, official sources said.
Around 3,74,045 graduate voters will cast their votes at 813 polling stations with the help of around 5,000 polling employees to decide the fate of 35 candidates.
This polling method is using ballot papers and preference system. Voters has to give preference to his choice candidate by marking it with a specific pen supplied by election commission.
Reports reaching from the all headquarters of the region stated that polling began in all the eight district in a peaceful manner.
Sitting NCP MLC and MVA candidate Satish Chavan pitted against BJP's Shirish Boralkar who won 2014 election once again trying his luck against two time MLC Mr Chavan.
Apart from them 33 more candidates also in fray including AAP, Vanchit Bhahujan Agadhi,AIMIM among smaller parties and independants.
