Poll panel announces schedule for special summary of electoral rolls

Itanagar, Aug 5 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced the schedule for the special summary revision of electoral rolls with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date in all 60 Assembly constituencies of Arunachal Pradesh.
With this, citizens who will attain 18 years of age as on January 1, 2022 can enroll their names in the electoral roll and others who want to make deletion, correction, if any, may do so, as per a communique issued by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Arunachal Pradesh here on Thursday.
As per the release, pre-revision activities like improvement in the health of electoral roll in a campaign mode for removal of DSEs (demographically similar entries), logical errors, checking of photo quality of elector will be carried out from August 9 till October 31.
