Political row over Yogi govt and Lokayukta

Lucknow, Dec 24 (UNI) The recent Bungalow dispute between the Uttar Pradesh Ombudsman and the BJP Government has created a fresh political row in the state questioning the government 's attitude.
The circumstances and even the apprehension of the Lokayukta officials pointed that government is either trying to use `pressure’ tactics on the Ombudsman or is not facilitating his office to carry out investigation on corruption charges, in which even minister and senior officials of this government are under scanner.
Sources said that despite of the State Ombudsman enjoyed all the protocols as enjoyed by the chief justice of Allahabad High Court, but still the Estate Department cancelled his allotment order of Type-VI bungalow in Gautampalli just as the Government wanted to pressurise the anti-graft agency.

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
