Political parties gearing up for Lok Sabha election by holding meetings

Bengaluru, Jan 3 (UNI) As the Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to announce election dates shortly for Lok Sabha, all the political parties in Karnataka, including Congress, BJP and the JD(S) are busy in holding meeting of party leaders and working out strategies to win more seats.
The Congress, in Karnataka, had completed a one-round of the meeting of all the Block and District level leaders, the BJP and the JD(S) parties also resorted to convene meeting to discuss to strengthen the party’s rank and file ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Former Prime Minister and the JD(S) national President H D Deve Gowda have convened a meting of the party Legislators, MPs and contestants in the May Assembly elections and other senior leaders of the party and addressed the gathering on Thursday.
