Washington, Nov 4 (UNI) The parliamentary leader of Poland's largest opposition party Law and Justice Mariusz Blaszczak said on Monday that Prime Minister Donald Tusk should step down in the event Donald Trump wins the presidential election in the United States.
"It is in Poland's interests to have as close relations with the US as possible. I am concerned that the current government, Donald Tusk and his team, have placed their bets on Kamala Harris, and therefore Donald Tusk should resign after Donald Trump's victory," former Defence Minister Blaszczak said on the Polsat channel.
The politician believes that it is in Poland's interests for Trump to win the election, "because we have a very good experience of relations when he was US president," whereas Tusk is currently practicing what Blaszczak described as "servility toward Germany."
